1st Shottery Scout Group raise £2,000 using CamperKing campervan

It’s been a busy few months for the 1st Shottery Scout Group. Not only have they camped out in fields and explored the great outdoors but they also organised Stratford-upon-Avon's very first Monopoly Run Live and raised an incredible £2,000 with the help of CamperKing.

CamperKing ambassador Rob Farquharson borrowed our campervan and used it as a marshall van for the afternoon, making sure each team was having fun and enjoying themselves. It was an incredibly hot day so the van also acted as the refreshment point for the very thirsty youngsters taking part.

What is Monopoly Run Live?

Over 150 parents, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts joined in a game of Monopoly Run Live, around the sites and streets of Stratford-upon-Avon. 

The purpose of the game is to visit the actual sites within the board game, collecting points and photos of the places visited with a view to being crowned Monopoly champion. 

The event was followed by a fantastic barbecue at 1st Shottery Scout HQ, with the much anticipated raffle being drawn. The first prize was a weekend campervan hire donated by CamperKing.

Thanks to this and other prizes, the group managed to raise over £2,000, to be used towards their ongoing activities and events. This means it can continue to offer the youngsters a huge variety of activities and adventures.
