CamperKing has been awarded ISO 9001 certification following a precise audit of the business and its practices.
The prestigious status has been achieved thanks to a detailed review of how CamperKing operates, from its employee guidelines to the way its manufacturing processes and systems are managed.
ISO 9001 is an international standard that sets out how organisations should be set up for quality management, and how they can assure customers of a constant level of quality.
CamperKing decided to pursue the status in late 2021, and passed its external audit with flying colours – the assessors were unable to find anything that did not comply with their criteria.
Hayley Botfield, who managed the application and oversaw the business changes required to meet ISO 9001, said: "This gives our customers peace of mind. It's good for the business, but this certification means people buying from us know that they are getting a high quality product manufactured to strict criteria – and that our processes for doing so have been recognised."
CamperKing underwent a strict audit covering its policy statement, quality manual, written procedures and standard documents, to ensure compliance with every facet of what's required.
The standard also covers what's needed to address problems, including personnel training and process mapping, also helping to ensure that continuous improvement is made while the organisation remains ISO 9001 certified.
The company will now be audited annually on the same basis, but CamperKing is carrying out regular internal audits to ensure we stay ahead of the game.
The certification is the second major success in quick succession for CamperKing, which has recently been named Campervan Converter of the Year in a public vote run by Campervan Magazine, part of Warners Group Publications.
