With over 200,000 revellers visiting the iconic Worthy Farm this year, CamperKing decided that it’d only be right to send our brand new marketing mobile, the eye-catching orange and yellow two-tone Monte Carlo, infused with flower power, to get right into the thick of the action.
We were able to get into Glastonbury on the Monday evening, to see the festival come together!
Tuesday’s arrival brought the opportunity for our campervan to get out and about before the crowds arrive, taking in the full scenic route that the area has to offer, and getting people’s eyebrows raised on it’s way.
As the festival-goers started to arrive by the bus load, we headed on over to Croissant Neuf, handily setting up shop right in the middle of the campsite, just so we didn’t get lost!
Thursday awoke, and the comfort of the campervan meant that we’d had a cracking night’s sleep, with the warm weather meaning that there wasn’t a need for the diesel heater! It also gave us the chance to see an incredible sunrise, but also an equally impressive sunset…
The days and nights came and went, with act before act performing on all stages. The highlight being a tough choice between Rick Astley’s AC/DC and The Smiths covers, and the legendary Sir Elton John performing his last ever UK show.
Monday morning brought the long journey home, although is markedly more relaxing to pack up a campervan and drive away, compared to the trauma of packing a tent and getting the train home. An added bonus was some of the spectacular evening views we came across on the trip back.
Overall, it’s fair to say that Glastonbury 2023 was a truly magical experience, which was only enhanced by the comfort and privacy of a campervan, not to mention the fridge keeping the drinks cold!
Thank you Worthy Farm, we can’t wait to be back.
