CamperKing supports chosen charity's inflatable challenge

CamperKing has sponsored and will be taking part in an inflatable challenge in aid of its chosen charity, Oscar's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity.

The annual Oscar's Inflatable Run takes place near Leeds, Yorkshire, this coming weekend (Saturday 10 June) and will see about 100 runners take on 32 massive inflatable obstacles over a 5km course in the grounds of Harewood House.

The event is open to both adults and children and CamperKing is one of the key sponsors. If you're following the event, you'll see our name on the official event T-shirts!

We're also sending our Head of Operations, Aaron Manton, to tackle the course along with his brother, Ryan. They'll be recording their run on a GoPro action camera.

Aaron said: "I'm looking forward to the run but I'm hoping above all else that we can raise some much-needed money, and awareness, for this brilliant charity.

"Oscar's work and support is vitally important to children and families around the country as they deal with the devastating impact of paedatric brain tumours. We're proud to be able to help in any small way to raise their profile and continue shouting about their incredible efforts."

Oscar's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity was founded following the death in 2014 of Oscar Hughes from a brain tumour at just nine year's old. His parents Ian and Marie set up the charity, but not long later, Ian himself was diagnosed with a brain tumour and died in 2020. Further tragedy would befall the family though, when Oscar's younger brother Milo, 5, died of the same condition a year later.

The charity is hoping to raise £10,000 from the event. Runners are encouraged to attempt to raise £100 in sponsorship.

CamperKing has been supporting Oscar's for many years and recently helped the charity during its 2023 Family Challenge, tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks, a gruelling 26-mile walk, summiting the peaks of Whernside, Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough.
