Club CamperKing Weekender attracts over 100 members

Club CamperKing members enjoy the weekend

It was smiles all round as CamperKing owners – not to mention their pet pooches – gathered in Oxfordshire for this year’s event

Hawaiian shirts, an agility tunnel, occasional rain, wagging tails, people passionate about CamperKing vans – and lots of smiling faces. That was the essence of our annual fun-filled event as more than 100 members of Club CamperKing gathered for this year’s Weekender.

The annual owners get-together was hosted at Hardwick Parks near Witney in Oxfordshire, which features a lovely lakeside location and a range of water sport options.

CamperKing staff were on hand to greet our guests as they arrived on the Friday, and the Hawaiian-themed festivities got underway that evening with a welcome drink and barbecue at the Boat Shed clubhouse – a relaxing location for the Club to bring together like-minded members who own a CamperKing van to enjoy each other’s company.

Exclusive demo for members

Members were given an exclusive product demonstration of CamperKing’s latest launch – the T7 Go! – which also provided our team with valuable product feedback from our customers.

In total we welcomed 109 Club members in 54 CamperKing vans along with no less than 35 dogs. Both pooches and their owners enjoyed group dog walks plus one of the highlights of the Weekender – the dog show complete with agility competition.

Fun for four-legged friends

The pet pooches were put through their paces in the quest to find, among a range of prize-winning categories, the waggiest tail, the chattiest dog and the champ of the agility circuit. Spectators were treated to a range of performances, including impressive displays by both the dogs and their owners as they tackled the obstacles of our agility course. And at times it was tricky to say who was taking the lead!

Despite a fantastic field of competitors, Lindsey Guthrie’s working cocker spaniel Tia came out as top dog with the Best in Show rosette. We’d also like to say a big congratulations to all our winners and participants – thanks for joining in the fun.

Mixed weather punctuated the weekend but it never dampened spirits. And at the end of the Saturday, Club members gathered again at the Boat Shed to enjoy a pizza and quiz evening.

The feedback from the Weekend has been great so we’ve already begun planning the next one. Watch this space!
