Evie Pickerill is a face that will be instantly recognisable to many younger fans of CamperKing. As a children's TV presenter, Evie's face has been beamed to millions of households since 2018 when she first started broadcasting. In addition to being a TV presenter, Evie is also the daughter of Jason Pickerill, who is the managing director of CamperKing Authorised Dealership, AEG Motorhomes.
Evie recently took a CamperKing Monte Carlo to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and told us all about it...
"I’ve been camping and caravanning since I can remember (and even before that!). My summer holidays were always spent in the caravan down in Devon with my whole family. Since then, the world of campervans and motorhomes has been a constant fixture in my life.
My Dad started selling them when I was at University, so my summers were spent on the customer service desk, or transporting the vans to various camper shows.
So when CamperKing gave me the opportunity to use one of their campervans, it felt like the perfect fit. Having known about CamperKing campervans through my Dad selling them, I was very excited!
My partner and I really wanted to drive up to the Edinburgh Fringe, so we planned a two-night trip and picked up our gorgeous, bright orange camper (the perfect van for a children's TV presenter!) from the wonderful CamperKing team. Pete in particular couldn’t have been more attentive. He was able to get the answers to any questions we had and provided us with 10/10 service.

Alex (my partner) had never driven a camper before but he couldn’t believe how easy it was to drive and more importantly park (as the thought can be a little daunting). We travelled a round trip from Oxford to Edinburgh and couldn’t believe how efficient it was on fuel!
The Apple CarPlay was also a lovely treat, as we were able to comfortably listen to a podcast whilst relying on Apple Maps!
The van was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, a comfy bed (two in fact), sink, fridge, hob, heating…I could go on and on. We felt incredibly lucky to be experiencing such a high-tech model.
My heart sank as I said goodbye to the van, as it has given us so many wonderful memories. The possibilities are endless with a campervan, you can travel around the UK or even abroad. It’s the perfect home on wheels.
