CamperKing France Trip

Open to all CamperKing owners, we've put together an exciting trip to the beautiful L'Orangerie de Beauregard campsite, located in the picturesque village of Villedômer, in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Loire Valley, where we will be hosting a complimentary barbecue, wine tasting, supplier demonstrations and much more!

With the remaining travel restrictions to France removed, this event is a great opportunity to catch up with other like-minded Club CamperKing members and share your experiences and campervan knowledge.

The team here has planned a relaxed weekend to get to know our Club CamperKing members, on a fabulous site within a beautiful area. It's a chance to offer our expert support, bring the club together and put faces to names!

Destination

L'Orangerie de Beauregard

The beautiful L'Orangerie de Beauregard campsite, a site set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, at the heart of a property totalling 53 hectares of privately owned woodland and fields. It is on the edge of the picturesque village 'fleuri' of Villedomer and will give you an authentic glimpse of all that awaits in the Loire Valley.

To book your space at L’Orangerie de Beauregard, please book a 'Classic' pitch online at https://orangeriedebeauregard.co. In the 'Comments' box before you finalise the booking, please write 'CamperKing' so that you are allocated a pitch in our designated area. The price per pitch per night will be €25, plus the taxe de sejour (based on two people per van).
 

Dates

The trip will be taking place from 2nd - 6th June 2022 and is during the Queen's Jubilee Bank Holiday.

Travel

Euro Tunnel

The CamperKing team is travelling to Calais on Thursday 2nd June on the EuroTunnel at 8.20am. You can of course join us on the same crossing or make your own way over with the aim to arrive at the campsite at 3pm.

On Monday 6th we will be leaving the site by midday. Some of the team will be returning on the 6.20pm EuroTunnel back to Folkestone or of course you can continue your travels around France.

L’Etang de l’Archevêque

L’Etang de l’Archevêque boasts over 23 hectares over gorgeous parklands to explore and enjoy a picnic along with a 12 hectare lake. Built by the monks of the Abbey of Gastines in the first half of the 16th century, it is bordered by woods, crops and meadows. The site is also home to many birds such as the Common Tern or Pochard, as well as several species of dragonflies.

Visit the quintessentially French village of Villedômer, which is just a five-minute walk from the campsite. Indulge in local history, with a 10th-century church St Vincent et St Gilles where one of the squires of Villedômer is buried.

A visit to the Loire Valley would be incomplete without a visit to the royal town of Amboise. With the royal chateau inhabited by Francois I, it also boasts the Clos Lucé, final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci where there is a splendid exhibition of his many inventions. Take the opportunity here to wander around the pedestrian streets, have a coffee or an ice cream in one of the many cafés.
