Just because it’s winter it shouldn’t mean that your campervan is put to bed until the temperature rises. Winter is the perfect time to go camping, why would you want to waste the opportunities it provides?
Amongst many other things, winter camping enables you to escape the crowds, experience nature from another perspective, see different types of wildlife, and allows you to try out all kinds of hearty, warming recipes.
At CamperKing, we are massive advocates of utilising your campervan all year round and it’s one of the reasons that CamperKing campervans come equipped with diesel heaters for warmth whatever the season. Another advocate for winter camping is outdoors expert and CamperKing Ambassador, Mike Pullen a.k.a. TA Outdoors. To show his love for camping in winter, Mike recently undertook some cold-weather camping, spent the night in his CamperKing campervan, and documented all of this in a video for his popular TA Outdoors YouTube channel.
In the video, Mike wards off the chill and puts his diesel heater to good use, shows how the heartiest of warming winter meals can be made using his campervan’s two-burner hob, demonstrates how the integrated internal lights are ideal for dark winter nights, and beds down for a warm and comfortable night’s sleep courtesy of his campervan’s rear bed and Duvalay mattress combination.
Later on in the video, Mike provides his own tips for keeping his food cold in his campervan’s integrated fridge and shows the recent upgrades to his campervan which he received when visiting CamperKing’s Banbury HQ.
