CK Ambassador, John Stocker completes 'world's toughest foot race' in Death Valley
On 13th July, CamperKing Ambassador, John Stocker successfully completed the Badwater 135 race in Death Valley where he crossed the finish line 31st out of a total of 94 competitors.
Running in 51C temperatures, John completed the race in an impressive 37:07:17 where he crossed the finish line at Whitney Portal with his family and friends waiting for him. Meanwhile, 16 runners from the field failed to complete the race. Check out the table below to read John's split times per checkpoint.

This year marked the race's 45th anniversary where the race began at Badwater Basin, Death Valley, which is the lowest elevation in North America at 280’ (85m) below sea level. The race finished at Whitney Portal at 8,300’ (2,530m), which is the trailhead to the Mt. Whitney summit, the highest point in the contiguous United States.
John covered three mountain ranges for a total of 14,600’ (4,450m) of cumulative vertical ascent and 6,100’ (1859m) of cumulative descent. Competitors travelled through places or landmarks with names like Mushroom Rock, Furnace Creek, Salt Creek, Devil’s Cornfield, Devil’s Golf Course, Stovepipe Wells, Panamint Springs, Darwin, Keeler, Lone Pine, Alabama Hills, and the Sierra Nevada.
