The event had been in the planning for three years, having twice been cancelled due to Covid. It threatened to be derailed a third time as the cost of living and fuel expenses rocketed, but in the end the European trip could be hailed a great success. The aim was to allow like-minded CamperKing owners to meet properly for the first time and enjoy their campervans in the comfort and warmth of the French countryside. Plans are now afoot for further meets, both in the UK and overseas. ![Club CamperKing France Trip - Campsite](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20Campsite.jpg?width=2048&name=Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20Campsite.jpg) The meet took place from 2nd to 6th June at L'Orangerie de Beauregard near the village of Villedomer. Here's what happened: On 2nd June, the CamperKing team led a convoy from Folkestone's Eurotunnel Terminal to the picturesque campsite based in the Loire Valley where Club CamperKing members gathered to meet for the first time and enjoy each other's company, share ideas and take part in organised activities.   On day one, CamperKing owners arrived and enjoyed a complimentary barbecue by the campsite's heated pool where the camaraderie was immediately evident to see. ![Club CamperKing France Trip - BBQ](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20BBQ.jpg?width=2048&name=Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20BBQ.jpg) Day two involved a trip to nearby Amboise, a stunning French town located on the banks of the Loire. CCK members were able to enjoy a local food market in the morning and continued their travels around the town famed for the Château Royal d'Amboise, best known as Leonardo Da Vinci's final resting place.  ![Club CamperKing France - Amboise Market](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Club%20CamperKing%20France%20-%20Amboise%20Market.jpg?width=2048&name=Club%20CamperKing%20France%20-%20Amboise%20Market.jpg) On day three, our members enjoyed a festive Jubilee street party in the morning between their pitches. Deemed the most popular CamperKing organised activity, all CCK members participated in the festive spirit of the party by supplying a variety of deliciously baked homemade cakes and tea.  ![Club CamperKing France Trip - Tea Party](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20Tea%20Party.jpg?width=2048&name=Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20Tea%20Party.jpg) In the afternoon, following the street party, the group experienced an informative awning demonstration by a representative of outdoor accessory manufacturer Vango, followed by questions from members. In the evening members enjoyed a wine and cheese tasting session, hosted by the owners of L'Orangerie De Beauregard. ![Club CamperKing France Trip - Wine and Cheese Tasting](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20Wine%20and%20Cheese%20Tasting.jpg?width=4032&name=Club%20CamperKing%20France%20Trip%20-%20Wine%20and%20Cheese%20Tasting.jpg) Following a busy day on Saturday, Sunday was a relaxing day spent chatting with fellow Club CamperKing members. Over the course of the four days, many members enjoyed sharing tips, tricks and travel stories with others. Club CamperKing member Nicola said: "Thank you to those who organised this trip and it was great to meet such a friendly bunch of people. Until next time!" Ralph, Club CamperKing member also shared his sentiments about the trip: "What a great weekend, good to meet you all. A big thank you to Spencer and the team from CamperKing for the arrangements." Club CamperKing member, Darran, added: "Thanks for a great weekend, look forward to the next one." Following the success of the first European Club CamperKing meet-up, we'll be announcing the next Club CamperKing meetup soon, so watch this space.
