CamperKing Ambassador Jason Robinson helps to raise £60,000 for charity on Lake District trek
England Rugby World Cup winner, Jason Robinson OBE, drove his CamperKing Monte Carlo to the Lake District where he completed a charity walk and helped to raise an incredible £60,000.
The CamperKing ambassador used his Monte Carlo as transport to arrive ready for the gruelling charity walk where they fundraised for CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young, and Southend Hospital Trust – Oncology & Stroke Departments.
Jason joined 60 people for the Stephanie Simpson 2022 Lake District Challenge where they trekked 100km, including 19,000ft of ascent, taking in England’s highest peaks – Helvellyn, Scafell Pike and Skiddaw.
The challenge was organised in memory of Stephanie Simpson, who tragically lost her life in 2020. The team was also inspired to battle through this challenge to raise funds for Southend Hospital, specifically for the oncology and stroke services.
Jason, 47, joined CamperKing's ambassador programme earlier this year and has continued to use his VW campervan for camping holidays with the family, charity fundraising and sheltering from the rain during football training sessions for his son, Noah!
