It has always been seen as the ‘second biggest purchase’ you could make outside of your house. Over time that vehicle has become a daily tool for most of us as opposed to something more exciting. But the novelty has worn off and the excitement faded. Why? I think it’s because it’s so much easier these days to buy a car and it happens more often, whether that’s the frequency of changing your vehicle or the ease of making the purchase. A few clicks online after browsing a virtual showroom, and buying a car has become in many instances, well, a somewhat ‘vanilla’ experience. The important point to stress here is that the experience of buying a CamperKing campervan is different to buying a car. Very different indeed. And it’s so much more fun. “He would say that, he works for CamperKing,” I hear you say. Well, having worked for years in the sector I strongly believe those views. ### **Expert advice** Our job as CamperKing experts is to make that experience as enjoyable and exciting for customers as possible, not to mention very different from today’s car buying process. And we do! CamperKing focuses entirely on the customer experience to keep that feeling alive. It should be exciting and perhaps even a little nervy. Ultimately, we are offering a passport to a lifestyle they so dearly want and that journey starts here. - ![Working from the VW T7 Freedom campervan](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Simon%20works%20from%20campervan-1.jpg?width=760&height=427&name=Simon%20works%20from%20campervan-1.jpg) Working from the VW T7 Freedom campervan - ![Selecting the upholstery is an enjoyable part of the buying process](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Showroom%20photographs-14.jpg?width=760&height=471&name=Showroom%20photographs-14.jpg) Selecting the upholstery is an enjoyable part of the buying process - ![Heading off from a walk from the VW T7 Freedom](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Simon%20heads%20off%20from%20a%20walk%20from%20the%20T7%20Freedom.jpg?width=760&height=544&name=Simon%20heads%20off%20from%20a%20walk%20from%20the%20T7%20Freedom.jpg) Heading off from a walk from the VW T7 Freedom ### **What can a customer expect from a showroom visit?** Once you have booked your appointment, which you can do [here](https://www.camperking.co.uk/service-and-aftercare/book-an-appointment/), you will arrive at one of our three CamperKing showrooms in [Banbury](https://www.camperking.co.uk/showrooms/banbury/), [Newcastle](https://www.camperking.co.uk/showrooms/newcastle/) or [Surrey](https://www.camperking.co.uk/showrooms/surrey/). We’ll welcome you and then sit you down with one of our experts to run you through all the basics – what type of van you’re looking for, your timeframe, your budget and whether there is a part-exchange vehicle involved. And basically any other question you may have about buying and beyond. We’re happy to advise on enjoying life as a campervanner too. You can also have a no obligation test drive. If you are buying a built-to-order campervan, you can enjoy getting creative in our customisation lounge by deciding how it’s going to look inside and out. There are 56 choices of upholstery colour, for example, and 56 stitching colours. That’s on top of seven worktop designs, 12 furniture options, 20 wheel styles… the list goes on. If you have children or grandchildren, why not involve them too in the decision-making process. It will add to the – you guessed it – fun! ![Jack and family with a blue VW T7 Go!](https://20025739.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/20025739/hubfs/Jack%20and%20family%201.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Jack%20and%20family%201.jpg) Jack and his family enjoy time in a CamperKing VW T7 Go! ![Jack and his children enjoy the Safari roof tent of a T7 Go!](https://20025739.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/20025739/hubfs/Jack%20and%20family%202.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Jack%20and%20family%202.jpg) Jack and his children enjoy the Safari roof tent of a T7 Go! And we’re always so pleased when they tell us that. Our priorities lie with our customers and how they feel about the purchase, even if they decide not to buy a campervan. It’s who we are – and we’re very proud of it. - You can read more about the buying process through our blog ‘Where to start’ [here](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/buying-a-camperking-vw-campervan-where-to-start).   ![Jack Grey](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Jack%20Grey.png?width=150&name=Jack%20Grey.png) #### Jack Grey Jack Grey is CamperKing’s Head of Dealer Network who has been a key part of the sales team for nearly 10 years. Jack first fell in love with camping during an ambitious, completely spontaneous – and entirely unplanned – road trip through Switzerland and the surrounding countries. It was an adventure that sparked a lifelong passion for exploring the outdoors. Back then, those trips were shared with his wife. Today, his favourite adventures are the shorter weekend escapes with his two beautiful children. Camping gives them the chance to step away from the routines of everyday life, change the scenery, and simply enjoy quality time together. ## Related articles [![Enjoy a campervan lifestyle](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hubfs/David%20Guest%20Where%20to%20start%20blog-1.jpeg)](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/buying-a-camperking-vw-campervan-where-to-start) [Try Before You Buy](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/tag/try-before-you-buy) [buyers guide](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/tag/buyers-guide) ### [Buying a CamperKing VW campervan: Where to start?](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/buying-a-camperking-vw-campervan-where-to-start) ## If you’re thinking about buying a campervan for the first time and want to know the best way to go about it, read on for our tips and advice ![Simon McGrath](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Simon%20M.png?width=45&name=Simon%20M.png) [Simon McGrath](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/author/simon-mcgrath) [Read more](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/buying-a-camperking-vw-campervan-where-to-start) [![Grey CamperKing T7 Freedom with off-road wheels parked sideways in an open field, showing dry grass and a clear blue sky on a summers day](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/hubfs/CamperKing%20VW%20T7%20Freedom%20pitched%20up%20v2.jpg)](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/the-freedom-of-being-off-grid) [Touring](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/tag/touring) [T7 Freedom](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/tag/t7-freedom) ### [The Freedom of being off-grid](https://blog.camperking.co.uk/the-freedom-of-being-off-grid) ## Got a strong connection to an electric hook-up?
