Ten great Christmas light trails to explore on a camping break this winter

Christmas light trails are a great reason to venture out at Christmas, and there are many that can be explored on a festive camping trip. We've taken a look at a handful you could head to this winter, each with a local campsite suggestion for a cosy night away.

Enchanted Light Trail at Cotswold Farm Park
Guiting Power, Cheltenham GL54 5FL

The Enchanted Light Trail at Cotswold Farm Park is a great example of one you can simply walk to from your pitch!

Grab a night or two with our partners at the Gloucestershire campsite, part-owned and run by none other than Adam Henson of BBC Countryfile fame, and you can stroll a few yards across to the farm itself for The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe-themed light trail. It runs throughout December from 4pm and tickets can be booked online.

Meet costumed actors, feed the animals, bop along to a silent disco, toast marshmallows above a warming fire and experience the magical lights throughout the farm park, including a meeting with the Snow Queen herself.

For a limited time, grab 20 per cent off the cost of camping at the site in December by using the code LOYALTY20 at checkout.

If you're a CamperKing owner, and part of Club CamperKing (our owners' club), keep an eye out for our annual meet on this popular site – the next one takes place from 1st September 2023.

Inside the Palace too there is a themed display, from room to room, this year revolving around the 'Kingdom of the Snow Queen'.
